Norah Jones has just released a music video in support of her latest single "Everybody Needs a Best Friend". The music video doesn't feature the sultry-voiced singer, but is filled with footage from newly-released movie "Ted", for which the single serves as a theme.

The music video does a good job at promoting the already-successful film with clips that provide a dialogue-free peek into the premise of the film. Anyone who has yet to hear about the new comedy written by "Family Guy" creator, Seth MacFarlane, will be able to understand what the movie is about without giving too much away.

The jazzy song, which is reminiscent of the big band era, boasts an excellent arrangement of horns and keys that gives it a very classic and timeless vibe. Its upbeat melody masks the comically self-deprecating lyrics that the song has with lines such as "so how did you come to be stuck with a bummer like me" and "you're better off without me."

Other artists featured in the movie's soundtrack album are Queen, Hootie & The Blowfish, Rita Coolidge, Tiffany, and Daphne. Composer Walter Murray, meanwhile, works on the scores for the Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis-starring movie.

"Ted" is about the friendship of John Bennet, played by Whalberg and his teddy bear that came to life because of a wish he made as a child. MacFarlane, the voice of the titular character, also directed the comedy. It made $54.4 million and debuted at No. 1 on North American box office over the weekend.
