How Steve Carell and Sam Rockwell will look like in "The Way, Way Back" has been uncovered in a newly-released still. Coming out via The New York Times, the image features the two actors seemingly going to have an argument at what looks like a public water park. Also featured in the photo are Zoe Levin, Toni Collette and Liam James.
"The Way, Way Back" is a dramedy from "The Descendants" scribe duo Jim Rash and Nat Faxon, who grabbed the headlines for imitating the posture of their Oscar presenter Angelina Jolie during the 2012 Academy Awards. Filmed in the south of Boston, the movie marks the duo's directorial debut.
The movie centers on a 15-year-old boy's fateful summer when his family rents a beach house. It follows the adventures of the teenage boy who finds the courage to stand up to his aggressive stepfather. The youngster also forms an unlikely friendship with the owner of a water park, and is able to finally reconnect with his mother.
Though none of Faxon and Rach had directed a movie before, they are confident with their work in this upcoming film. "You think, nothing seems more right than what we originally intended," Faxon says. "How can we support that without sacrificing too much?"
Agreeing with his longtime collaborator's comment, Rash adds "People were like, 'This never happens. You don't write a script, and then suddenly it's being made right away.' And then they were right."
"The Way, Way Back" still hasn't got a U.S. release date. The film is also supported by Maya Rudolph, AnnaSophia Robb and Amanda Peet.
