Hours before its official premiere, Mariah Carey's new song "Triumphant (Get 'Em)" has been previewed in a snippet. The 30-second sneak peek gives a taste of Meek Mill's rapping part as well as the inspirational lyrics sung by the R&B diva.
"Triumphant" will debut in full on radio Thursday, August 2 and will be available for download on August 7. In addition to Meek, another rapper Rick Ross, who happens to be Meek's partner in "Tupac Back", is lending his vocals in the tune.
The song is expected to appear in Mariah's upcoming fourteenth studio album. "I wrote TRIUMPHANT when I was going through a difficult time & it helped me get through it. When u hear it, pay attention 2 the lyrics," she previously tweeted about the track, which she co-wrote and co-produced along with Jermaine Dupri and Brian Michael Cox.
The 42-year-old singer recently also debuted a cover art for the single. In the image, the wife of Nick Cannon shows some skin as she slips into a flesh-colored dress with cut-out panels and a thigh-high split on one side.
Her new album aside, Mariah is gearing up to begin her judging duty for the twelfth season of "American Idol". She is chosen as a new judge after Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez bowed out of the show in July.
