Wynonna Judd is forced to postpone her concerts in Canada after her husband Michael Scott "Cactus" Moser was involved in a serious accident. They were riding separate bikes to the Deadwood Mountain Grand Hotel & Casino for her scheduled performance on Saturday, August 18 when the accident happened.
Lt. David Berkley of the South Dakota Highway Patrol tells Rapid City Journal that Cactus drifted across the center divider when he was heading north, and then collided with a southbound Chevrolet Malibu. He was taken to a Regional Hospital by helicopter to treat his "serious but non-life threatening injuries."
Wynonna, who allegedly rode ahead of her husband, was fortunately not involved in the accident. Due to the unforeseen circumstances, the 48-year-old singer has also postponed the Deadwood gig. "The show will be rescheduled at a later date," it's announced.
"The outpouring of prayer and support from friends, family and fans has been a blessing to both Cactus and I. Cactus is a champion. I love him deeply and I will not leave his side," Wynonna said. She started dating Cactus in 2009 and married him last June in her farm in Tennessee after getting engaged in December 2011.
55-year-old Cactus was reportedly cited for driving on the wrong side of the road and for not having a license to operate a motorcycle. The other driver, 59-year-old Michael Bruce of Rapid City, refused to get medical treatment. His vehicle was hit by Cactus' bike on the driver's side door.
