Hot on heels of Eric Stonestreet's Emmy Award win, it's revealed that he would join the cast of "American Horror Story: Asylum". While he appeared as a psych patient named Derek in the first season, the former "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" star would not reprise the role in the upcoming installment.

To TVLine, "AHS" creator Ryan Murphy spilled the beans that the Cameron Tucker of "Modern Family" would guest star in an episode as a killer. The writer went on teasing that Stonestreet would be featured alongside Sarah Paulson, who takes a role of a lesbian journalist named Lana.

Stonestreet took home the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy prize at the September 23 Primetime Emmy Awards for his role on "Modern Family". It was the second year in a row the 41-year-old star won the title.

"AHS" itself bagged one trophy through Jessica Lange's win for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie. The show will kick off the second season Wednesday, October 17 at 10 P.M. ET on FX.
