Heidi Klum
canceled her highly-anticipated Halloween bash after superstorm Sandy
hit the East Coast on Tuesday, October 30. Heidi tweeted that day, "Hope
you & your loved ones are safe after the storm. Canceling my
Halloween party...postponing to a haunted Christmas." Along with the
tweet, the estranged wife of Seal
posted a picture of her standing in the middle of a wet street, wearing
black jacket, matching trousers and shoes, as well as a winter hat.
Later, one of her Twitter followers tweeted, "@heidiklum Sorry you
canceled your halloween bash. Hoping costume pics are keeping your
spirits up! #HeidiklumHalloween." The fan shared a photograph of someone
wearing a black Gothic punk costume, seemingly imitating KISS's member Gene Simmons.
Previously on Wednesday, October 24, Heidi Klum was so excited debuting
her Cleopatra outfit that she would wear for her Halloween party this
year. In a photograph posted on Twitter, she showed off a wing-like
sparkling cloth stretched from her body to her right hand. She also
donned a massive Cleopatra headdress.
Back then, she tweeted, "One week until Halloween! Here's a sneak peek
at my crazy Cleopatra costume!" Later, she expressed her gratitude to
her Halloween costume designer, saying on Twitter, "Cleopatra comes 2
life! Bill Corso & Martin Izquierdo are amazing! Wait until
#heidiklumhalloween night 2 c the final!" She then gave a link to a
video to show behind the scenes of the outfit making.
A number of entertainment shows based in New York were shut down on
Monday, October 29 when the storm didn't show any signs of slowing down.
Some of the unlucky ones were "The Daily Show with John Stewart", "The
Colbert Report", and "Jimmy Kimmel Live!". Bruce Springsteen also canceled his concert at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, which was due Tuesday, October 29.
The massive storm has also killed 18 people in New York City, according to Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
