Nelly
issues a statement after heroin, weed and gun were found by cops on his
tour bus during a border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca recently.
The rapper claims innocence, insisting the drugs and weapon did not belong to him, but a member of his entourage.
"It is my understanding a member of my staff made an unfortunate
decision to bring unlawful materials onto our tour bus that resulted in
his arrest this morning," he says as quoted by TMZ. The culprit is
identified as Brian Keith Jones and has been arrested.
"Neither I nor anyone else on the tour bus was aware of his decision to
bring these on board," the "Hot in Herre" hitmaker continues. "Law
enforcement officials did not press charges against anyone other than
that individual."
In more personal notes on Twitter, he says, "I'm not gone front I'm MAD
as Hell about this sh#t!!2have some1 who works 4u n who u call a friend 4

He concludes, "My heart goes out to his fam and is kids!!!!"
