Rihanna is going full throttle to promote her upcoming album "Unapologetic".
In the spirit of her seventh studio effort, the Bajan songstress
announces a 777 promo tour that will take place for 7 days and span 7
shows in 7 selected countries around the world. She is set to fly from
one venue to another on a chartered Boeing 777 twinjet.
Riri is going to be joined by some of her most-devoted Rihanna Navy
fanclub members and a group of over 150 journalists representing 82
countries across the globe. She will kick off the special jaunt on
November 14, four days before she visits "Saturday Night Live" as a performer. Details of her tour stops are expected to be announced sometime soon.
"Unapologetic" is set to be released in the United States on November
16. In addition to the standard edition, there will be a limited
"Diamonds Executive Platinum Box" edition that will be made available on
sale for $250 on December 11. The special package contains such
exclusive goodies as a handwritten personal note from Riri, a notebook
with handwritten notes and lyrics, 2GB credit card-style USB flash
drive, and a 20-minute DVD with unreleased footage.
The album is led by single "Diamonds" that comes from production hands
of top-notch music makers Benny Blanco and StarGate. Next Spring, Riri
is going to embark on Diamond World Tour to follow up the brief 777 gig.
She will kick it off in the United States on March 8 before moving to
Canada.
