Beyonce Knowles Celebrates 31st Birthday With Jay-Z and Blue Ivy on Yacht

Beyonce Knowles kept it low key on her 31st birthday, September 4. Instead of partying, the singer spent the day with her family. She was caught on camera enjoying a Mediterranean cruise on a superyacht with her husband Jay-Z and baby girl Blue Ivy.

The couple enjoyed a meal on the deck. In one of the pictures, Queen Bey was seen sitting with her little girl on her lap. In some other photos, proud daddy Hov had bonding time with the baby on the helm of the yacht decorated with balloons and streamers.

While the new mom was away on a holiday, her family and friends showered her with congratulatory messages posted on her official website. Sister Solange Knowles, former Destiny's Child mate Michelle Williams (II) and beastie Gwyneth Paltrow sent handwritten notes to wish her a happy birthday.

"There is no-one like you in the world, of all of your mind blowing achievements that one that first comes to mind is your kindness," Solange wrote. "Your sense of selflessness, consideration of other people's well being and your beautiful generosity are all things that make me so proud be your sister and your friend."

Michelle said, "Happy birthday to youuu!! I love you so very much. I am so thankful you're in my life." Gwyneth, along with Chris Martin and their children, wrote, "For dear sweet BB on the occasion of her 31st birthday ... We love you so very much."

Beyonce Knowles Snubs Kim Kardashian at Jay-Z's Made in America

Word ran rampant that Beyonce Knowles and Kim Kardashian had an awkward encounter when they met at Made in America festival. The two women reportedly barely spoke to each other despite the fact that their respective men Jay-Z and Kanye West were best friends.

A source at the 2-day festival hosted by the Hov told New York Daily News, "They were on opposite sides of the stage. Beyonce didn't even acknowledge (Kim) was there until the concert was almost over." The source added, "(Kim) didn't make any efforts to go speak to Beyonce either."

When they finally "made small talk in the dressing room," Kim allegedly looked "uncomfortable" but did praise Jay-Z for his Philadelphia show. The source claimed, "She clung onto Kanye the entire time and didn't say much," when the rap mogul chatted with Queen Bey and her husband.

Rumors that Beyonce didn't really get along with Kim surfaced after the foursome was seated next to each other at BET Awards earlier this year. Despite rumors to the country, they were seen exchanging friendly hugs and kisses when the cameras were around. In another occasion, they were spotted sitting next to each other when attending "Watch the Throne" concert.

Report: Beyonce Knowles to Perform at Jay-Z's Made in America Festival

Beyonce Knowles may perform at Made in America Festival in Pennsylvania later this fall. It seems to make sense since the music festivity is held by her rap mogul husband Jay-Z. The gig will be documented in a movie.

"Beyonce will hit the stage in a surprise performance at her hubby's festival next weekend in [Pennsylvania]," a source tells Huffington Post. "The performance is top secret but it will be filmed for Jay's documentary about the event. It's going to be epic."

Director Ron Howard is tapped to film the Made in America that is scheduled to take place on two consecutive days, September 1 and 2. The filmmaker said the pic wouldn't be a concert film, but "a reflection of the fabric of what it means to be Made in America - what the festival represents, why Jay is doing it and how he relates to each artist."

Such big artists as Pearl Jam, Run DMC, Rita Ora, Calvin Harris, Afrojack and more are expected to make live performances at the festival. The Hov himself is set to perform on Saturday night, September 1.

Beyonce Knowles, Oprah Winfrey, Nicki Minaj and More Applaud Gabby Douglas

A number of stars including Beyonce Knowles, Oprah Winfrey and Nicki Minaj congratulated Gabby Douglas after she won gold medal at the London Olympic Games. Beyonce took to her official website to send her message, while Oprah and Nicki reached out to the young athlete through Twitter.

Gabby won a gold medal in the individual all-around on August 2, marking her second gold after placing first in the team all-around the day before along with her teammates McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman, Kyla Ross and Jordyn Wieber.

She is the first African-American woman and the first female of color to become the individual all-around winner in Olympic history. She's also the first U.S. gymnast to win gold in both the individual all-around and team competitions at the same Olympic Games.

"I JUST rewatched Gabby douglass. Yo. Goosebumps. Every single turn was sharp. Clean. Perfect. Omg!!" Estelle additionally wrote. Ian Somerhalder also sent a celebratory message, "We'd like to congratulate you&the U.S. Women's team on your gold medal!Go Team USA!"

Ciara joined the celebration as well, "Not only am I happy 4 U. I'm happy for your family 2! The sacrifices payed off! Keep inspiring Young Girls and Women like Me." Octavia Spencer tweeted, "HUGE HUGE MOMENT!!! Own it! bringing home THE GOLD!"

Fellow Olympic athlete Michael Phelps who just won his 16th gold medal also applauded her, "Congrats to @gabrielledoug last night!!! We watched from the pool!!! #USA." She herself stated, "WOW such an AMAZING experience! Thank you all for your support, love and prayers love you all!!! #oncloud9 <3."
