Lindsay Lohan Opens Up About Being Abused at School

Affected by an episode of Katie Couric's show about "Bullying: A National Epidemic", which aired on October 2, Lindsay Lohan wrote down in Twitter, "@KatieCouric I think what you did today on your show for #WhitneyKropp was lovely. It had me crying. I'd love to meet her. #stopbullying." In "Katie", Whitney Kropp became a guest and told Katie about her being abused.

Afterward, Lindsay opened up about her past to Katie in Twitter, "I was actually bullied @ my public school when i would leave to film. Whenever I came back ... girls & boys would call me names. They would also mock me because of my home situation, when people found out that my father was in jail." Then, she continued, "They would yell things, try to trip me & more ... I moved to home-schooling instead. In 11th grade. I stuck it out for a while. So I can relate to the girls that you spoke with on your show today. I appreciate you reaching out to them. xo."

The 16-year-old Whitney herself is a Michigan student, who was fooled by her friends into believing that she was nominated for a homecoming court. In the Katie show, the high schooler opened up about the mean prank and how humiliated and hurt she was. Her mother also testified about the pain her daughter faced at the time.

Before revealing her dark school days to Katie, Lindsay accused 25-year-old Christian LaBella of assaulting her inside a New York hotel room. The "Mean Girls" star and the man were reported partying for hours, before he took 50 photographs of her and the whole incident led them into an argument. It was reported that he threw her on bed, climbed up her body and strangled her. Luckily for her, her friends came to save her and the police arrived on time to arrest the man. The case was canceled due to lack of evidence.

Slash Comes to Lindsay Lohan's Defense

Lindsay Lohan has found an ally in Slash. "The situation last night w/Lindsey was a lame paparazzi stunt. She didn't do anything. it's being blown out of proportion," the former Guns N' Roses guitarist tweets after hearing about her arrest.

LiLo was accused of hitting a pedestrian when driving her black Porsche Cayenne SUV to The Dream hotel in New York. Hours before, she attended Slash's concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom and hung out with the rocker backstage.

Drummer Eddie Trunk who opened for Slash confirmed the sighting by tweeting a picture of LiLo at the gig. "I see @lindsaylohan was arrested last night. She was standing next to me @Slash gig last night," he wrote before jokingly adding, "I'm a bad influence..."

While Slash was not on the scene when the incident happened, his opinion seemed to be backed by a surveillance video reportedly showing that LiLo didn't seem to hit the pedestrian. According to TMZ, the actress did drive her car very close to the alleged victim but she drove it in a very slow speed.

After she drove away, the alleged victim reportedly ran to the commotion near the hotel's club where LiLo, who was said reeking of booze at that time, drew attention from people around her. He didn't appear to confront the actress, and she didn't look flustered or aware that she may have hit someone.

LiLo's publicist Steve Honig said, "While some of the facts are still being gathered, it appears that this is much ado about nothing. We are confident this matter will be cleared up in the coming weeks and the claims being made against Lindsay will be proven untrue."

Her father, Michael Lohan, sang the same tune, "I think this is all a setup. I love my daughter and I believe her 100%." She herself re-tweeted a message from her fan, "The world really should stop picking @lindsaylohan, it's ridicules, she's human Christ, ppl make mistakes get over it, no ones perfect."

Lindsay Lohan Speaks Out About Amanda Bynes

Lindsay Lohan compared the situation faced by Amanda Bynes, who's entangled in a number of traffic violations, to her own predicament before. The fact that the ex-Nickelodeon star was still free as a bird irked the former Disney actress.

"Why did I get put in jail and a nickelodeon star has had NO punishment(s) so far?" an annoyed LiLo tweeted. "These are the moments that I appreciate my life experiences, living without regrets and Disney for supporting me as an actress-night all."

LiLo had several trips to jail for violating her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI case. She was sentenced to 120 days in prison and 480 hours of community service due to jewelry theft, but ended up being put under house arrest with ankle bracelet monitor due to jail overcrowding.

After another trip to jail for failing to do her required community work, LiLo was finally freed from her DUI probation last March. She relatively stayed out of trouble until she got involved in a car accident in June and then linked to an alleged home burglary. She's cleared of the robbery case later on.

Bynes, meanwhile, broke laws on the road one too many times. She is currently facing a DUI charge and two counts of hit-and-run misdemeanor. Her driving mishaps led to her license being suspended and her car being impounded when she ignored judge's order not to drive without a valid license.

Lindsay Lohan Questioned by Cops in Missing-Jewelry Case

Lindsay Lohan landed in hot water once again when an expensive jewelry was reported missing by the owner of the house she's sleeping over the weekend. According to TMZ, the "Liz & Dick" actress, along with everyone in the house, was questioned by police.

LiLo was in house on Sunday night, August 19 with several other guests for a small gathering. The owner found out the jewelry was missing the next morning. No arrest has been made since investigation was still ongoing. The actress reportedly was very cooperative.

In 2011 while she's still on probation stemming from her 2007 DUI case, Lindsay was accused of stealing a necklace from a Venice jewelery store. She was charged with misdemeanor theft and probation violation.

Lindsay Lohan NOT Allowed to Drive During 'Liz and Dick' Production

Due to her history of DUIs and car accidents, Lindsay Lohan reportedly is not allowed to get behind the wheel for the duration of "Liz & Dick" shooting. The rule was stated in the insurance policy the production company of the Elizabeth Taylor biopic took out.

Sources told TMZ that the insurance company initially was extremely reluctant because it would take a major hit if the TV movie couldn't be completed. So, the no-driving rule was set for Lindsay to avoid the actress from getting any trouble that could affect the filming.

The production honchos reportedly knew that Lindsay was driving, but they didn't make a fuss out of it, until she crashed her rented Porche into a semi-truck recently. Post the accident, they made it clear that she would not drive again until the movie was finished.
