Report: Tom Cruise's Kids Told by Scientology Church to Reject Nicole Kidman

More details on how Scientology tries to control Tom Cruise's personal life have allegedly been uncovered by Vanity Fair. According to the magazine, the church called the "Top Gun" actor's second wife Nicole Kidman a "suppressive person" and an "antisocial" personality, a brand which is given to someone who may interfere with his spiritual well-being.

"The central problem [in the marriage] was Nicole did not want to deal with Scientology," former high-ranking Scientologist Marty Rathbun says. The actress, who is currently married to Keith Urban, is a Roman Catholic and she once stated she did not want their children raised as Scientologists.

Since the couple divorced, the church allegedly instructed Tom and Nicole's adopted children Isabella and Connor Cruise, who were just 8 and 6 years old when their parents separated in 2001, to reject their mother and her movies. "They rejected Nicole - they've been instructed," former Scientologist and bodyguard to church leader David Miscavige, John Brousseau, reveals.

"They took a course, P.T.S./S.P., Potential Trouble Source/Suppressive Person, for persons connected in their lives who are an S.P.," Brousseau further dishes. "[Bella and Connor] whispered to me, 'J.B., Nicole is an S.P.! Our mom's an S.P. - we hate going and seeing her.' " He adds that "the Scientology world hated Nicole."

The church is said to be not liking Tom's former girlfriend Penelope Cruz either. The publication reports that the Spanish beauty was dismissed as a "dilettante" after she refused to learn about Scientology.

The church has previously vehemently denied allegation that Scientology auditioned Tom's wife candidates. "The entire story is hogwash. There was no project, secret or otherwise, ever conducted by the Church to find a bride (audition or otherwise) for any member of the church," a representative for Scientology stated. "The allegation and entire premise of the Vanity Fair article is totally false... We have been denying this ridiculous tale now since it first appeared in print four years ago."

However, director Paul Haggis supported the wife audition story first revealed by Vanity Fair's source. According to Haggis, Iranian-born actress Nazanin Boniadi was indeed paired up with the "Mission: Impossible" star, but she was dumped after displeasing him and Miscavige.

"Naz was embarrassed by her unwitting involvement in this incident and never wanted it to come out," the Canadian writer, who was also a member of the Scientology Church, claimed. "The last thing she wanted or needed is this kind of publicity, but here it is, and I am sure she will deal with it with the same grace and dignity she exudes in her daily life. I'm appalled that any church would treat its parishioners this way."

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Officially Divorced

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are officially back on the market again. The parents of 6-year-old Suri get their divorce papers signed off by judge just a month and a half after the actress submitted her filing for legal separation from the actor.

A source tells E! News that the "Top Gun" actor is relieved that the proceedings are finally over. "Tom is very happy and relieved that he is moving forward," the source testifies. "His priority is being a good father and this settlement will make sure that continues."

Tom and Katie, who have a prenup agreement, settle their divorce outside the court. Suri will live primarily with Katie in New York with generous visitation by Tom. The mother-daughter duo currently lives in an apartment located in Manhattan's artsy Chelsea neighborhood.

Other couples splitting on amicable terms are Katy Perry & Russell Brand and Courteney Cox & David Arquette. The former two have already had the union officially dissolved, while the latters haven't but they continue to keep it civil.

Rupert Murdoch Slams Tom Cruise, Scientology Denies Stalking Katie Holmes

In the wake of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes divorce announcement, Rupert Murdoch attacks the "Mission: Impossible" actor due to his fierce ties to Scientology. At almost the same time, the church denies report that it is following the "Jack and Jill" actress.

"Scientology back in news. Very weird cult, but big, big money involved with Tom Cruise either number two or three in hiearchy." Murdoch tweets. "Watch Katie Holmes and Scientology story develop. Something creepy, maybe even evil, about these people."

In response to those who are against him, the 81-year-old News Corp media mogul posts, "Since Scientology tweet hundreds of attacks. Expect they will increase and get worse and maybe threatening. Still stick to my story."

While Cruise is being attacked by Murdoch, Holmes reportedly is stalked by people from Scientology. The story is quickly denied though. "There is no truth whatsoever to the TMZ.com report (or any other report) that the Church of Scientology has sent anyone to follow or surveil Katie Holmes," says its rep Gary Soter.

Some unidentified men allegedly were spotted over the weekend outside Seventh Ave. building in Chelsea, where Holmes was staying with her 6-year-old daughter Suri. The burly guys stayed inside a white Cadillac Escalade with Tennessee license plates, and refused to talk to a reporter when being approached.

Holmes filed for divorce from Cruise on Thursday, June 28. Seeking sole custody of Suri, the 33-year-old actress submitted her filing in New York, which courts rarely granted joint custody of child to divorcing parents.

Feeling blindsided by the divorce filing, Cruise was quick to lawyer up. He hired Dennis Wasser, the same attorney who represented him in his divorce with second wife Nicole Kidman, and was expected to file his own divorce papers in Los Angeles, where joint custody was more popular in its courts.

"I would hope that it's not a contentious matter. I know Tom is not a particularly contentious person. [As far as our legal team goes,] we're thinking about who to use. We have to discuss strategy," Wasser said.
